Macario's First Thanksgiving and Our Weekend (Nov. 24-27)

Last Thanksgiving, we had just found out Macario's gender and were very excited about celebrating the next Thanksgiving with our little boy!

Now here we are, celebrating all of Macario's first holidays!

The three of us started off the day by getting in our holiday clothes.  Well, Macario and I did.  Aaron was dressed in his 49er jersey and some sweats.  He was ready to relax in front of the TV for the game. Gotta love him!

We made our first stop at my parents house so that they could spend a little time with Macario on his first Thanksgiving and then we headed off to my uncle's house to visit some family who was in from out of town.

Macario played with his cousins for a while and then it was time to go.  We headed off to my brother-in-law's house where we were all meeting for Thanksgiving dinner.

For just a moment it seemed that our plans for the day were going to change because we were not expecting my sister-in-law to go into labor much less deliver on Thanksgiving day, but that is exactly what happened.

Our plans went forward anyway and we all enjoyed a nice dinner together at my brother-in-law's house.  Later that evening he headed back to the hospital to take her a dinner plate.

We had a really nice time eating and watching the football game. Macario enjoyed some turkey, mashed potatoes, and pumpkin pie.  His favorite was the pie, of course!

The following day the three of us headed out to the Christmas Tree Farm to cut down Macario's first Christmas Tree!

The tree farm was about half an hour drive from our house, which was great because we love a little road trip and since it wasn't too long of a drive, Macario handled it well.

We had so much fun at the tree farm that we plan to make a tradition of it and go each year on the day after Thanksgiving.

Saturday, we visited with Lalo, Mari, Lalito and the new baby, Carlos. They were released from the hospital on Friday, and since we hadn't visited in the hospital we came over and  I made dinner for everyone.

Sunday, Macario and I went to church and then to breakfast with my parents. Then headed home to soak up a little more relaxation before the new week began!

It was such a nice holiday weekend. Hope you all had a wonderful holiday as well!
